This Earthy Blend with Ginger and a Cinnamon finish is sure to "get you going." This Laxative Loose Leaf Tea Blend is meant to establish regularity and soothe any imbalances that may result in an aggravated colon.

Ginger contains compounds known as gingerols and shogaols, which have the ability to stimulate the digestive system. These compounds are able to increase intestinal contractions (peristalsis), thus promoting bowel movement and potentially relieving constipation. Ginger also possesses carminative properties, meaning it can assist in alleviating gas and bloating. By diminishing stomach discomfort and flatulence, ginger indirectly contributes to the regularity of bowel movements. Chronic inflammation within the gastrointestinal tract can lead to various digestive issues, including constipation. However, ginger's anti-inflammatory properties can aid in reducing inflammation in the digestive system, consequently improving overall gut function and promoting regular bowel movements. Lastly, ginger has a soothing effect on the digestive system and can help relax the smooth muscle tissues within the intestines. This relaxation of muscles can assist in the effortless passage of stool and ultimately ease constipation.

Fennel seeds are an excellent source of dietary fiber, which includes both insoluble and soluble types. Insoluble fiber adds bulk to the stool, aiding its passage through the digestive tract. Soluble fiber can absorb water and assist in softening the stool, thus making it easier to pass. Fennel seeds contain compounds with carminative properties, meaning that they can alleviate gas and bloating. This reduction in gas and bloating can relieve discomfort in the digestive system and potentially facilitate regular bowel movements. Fennel seeds have long been used as a digestive aid due to their ability to relax the smooth muscles of the intestinal tract. This relaxation helps promote the natural rhythmic contractions of the intestines known as peristalsis, which facilitate the movement of stool through the digestive system. Chronic inflammation in the gut can contribute to digestive issues, such as constipation. Fennel seeds contain anti-inflammatory compounds that may help reduce inflammation in the digestive system and potentially promote regular bowel movements.

Flax seeds are an outstanding source of dietary fiber, especially a type of soluble fiber known as mucilage. This soluble fiber absorbs water within the digestive system, creating a gel-like substance that adds volume to the stool and assists in making it softer, thus facilitating smoother passage. The fiber present in flax seeds aids in regulating bowel movements by supplying bulk and stimulating peristalsis, the rhythmic contractions of the intestines that propel stool through the digestive tract. This ability can be beneficial in relieving constipation and promoting regularity. Additionally, flax seeds contain a small quantity of oil, which serves as a lubricant for the intestines, thereby making it easier for the stool to pass through the digestive system. Lastly, flax seeds are rich in lignans, which are antioxidant compounds that may have a positive effect on intestinal health. Sustaining a healthy intestinal environment is essential for ensuring regular bowel movements and overall well-being of the digestive system.

Senna Leaf- The anthraquinones found in senna leaf function as stimulant laxatives, promoting peristalsis, which are the rhythmic contractions of the intestines. In turn, this aids in the movement of stool along the digestive tract and facilitates bowel movements. Senna leaf also has the capability to enhance the secretion of fluid into the intestines, consequently making the stool softer and easier to pass. This beneficial effect is particularly valuable in the relief of constipation. Senna leaf is reputed for its ability to produce relatively quick outcomes when compared to other natural laxatives, thus making it a commonly utilized short-term solution for occasional constipation.
